Why did you create this Paper Tape (The Robin Bird) ?
Did you know, The Robin Bird was voted Britain's National Bird in 2015. It has a colour of red around its chest and head, with browns and white covering its body.
After doing some more research I discovered mythology associated to this bird tells story's of: eg robin birds appear when loved ones are near, good luck, happiness and rebirth.
This artwork is reimagined from an original drawing I created "Between this life and the next".
It all comes back to a life experience I had of one day sitting on a park bench and a robin bird came up to me which looked like it was carrying some food in its mouth which it then dropped by my side. It looked intentional like it was offering me food. The bird must have stayed for 5 minutes or so before leaving. After this I was reminded how surreal this moment was, I have never forgotten it.
What can I use it for?
This tape is ideal for accessorising and adding uniqueness to things like gift packaging, envelopes, notebooks, crafting ect!
