The flies eggs

(In the collection of the International Ceramics Studio, Kecskemét, Hungary)

Inspiration
With only a short amount of time to create a finished sculpture I was really challenged to create a sculpture to the best of my potential. I wanted to continue working on closed forms by only focusing on spheres to completely enclose the space. I wanted to then use colour to brake up the from. The result is bit like a camoflarge.

Information about this artwork
This ceramic sculpture was created during a Symposium at the International Ceramics Studio, Kecskemét, Hungary 2019.

The making process of this piece consists of spheres that were thrown on the potters wheel which were cut up and joined together.

Stoneware, slips, wax, fired once to 1230c.

Created: 3/9/2019
Dimensions: H10 x W24 x L24cm
