Inspiration
During the time at which my mother had passed away I was going through a traumatic time. I went to her flat to tidy her belongings. On that day the local council put a padlock on her front door. I never forget that moment. I stood at the door motionless looking at this padlock. It was the first time I had entered her home after her passing. From this experience I was then led to deal with all the paperwork, bills due, a lot of admin. At the time this really put me down, I was having to cope with my mother's unexpected passing but also the sudden influx of paperwork.
I decided to create this drawing to respond to this experience.
