Inspiration
This collage painting responds to the current world I am living in during the corona virus pandemic.
During this time there is a lot of changes happening in the human construction. It is often confusing and chaotic. Often I think its all gone mad, what is rite, what is wrong? I think as humans, we were not born perfect, we have a mind to determine our own way of life, our own reality.
Sometimes I get the impression society is braking, or maybe this time reveals how the so called normality of the human construct we live in is built on facts, beliefs, customs and values that are being re-shaped.
The newspaper represents the chaos of the human world. On top is a space to enter, it was partly inspired by looking at galaxy formations were in the centre there is a radiating light. This led me to think about the complexity of Creation.
This led me to think as humans we can be destructive and constructive just like the universe.
Ultimately I would like this painting to symbolise hope and a curious mind to keep leaning.
