Inspiration
This painting is part of a series of paintings using the technique of acrylic pouring.
I was inspired by barcodes as it is widely used in the selling of products and storing information in society. If you look closely you should be able to just about see some of the barcode imagery.
I was also inspired by the industrial world we are living in. I was researching images like chemical spills and industry to use as a reference to infom the colours and part of the idea behind this artwork.
I combined these two subjects together as a commentary on the chaos of society.
I then overlaid this with a circle to symbolise belief and entering a space, to embody a spiritual presence. Perhaps it is our belief and values that keep these things alive.
