Inspiration
This painting is part of a series of paintings using the technique of acrylic pouring.
I was really inspired by the industrial/ mass manufacture world we are living in. I was researching images like chemical spills and industry to use as a reference to infom the colours and part of the idea behind this artwork.
I realised there is a kind of beauty to the chaos of production.
I then overlaid this with a circle to symbolise belief and entering a space, to embody a spiritual presence. Perhaps it is our belief and values that keep the industrial/ mass manufacture world we are living in alive.
I called this one "Portal" as it got me thinking about crossing over through space and time, like going on a journey.
