Why Create a Virtual Art Gallery?
When I first started hearing about Virtual Art Gallery's there was so much hype about how you could create an Art Gallery in the Virtual world as a way to show your artworks in a new immersive way. After doing my research, I found this idea to be exciting.
For me I saw this as way to create my own gallery space without the need to rent a physical space as this can be expensive or rely on my artwork being selected for an exhibition. This opened up opportunities display my art in a permeant space were anyone in the world could have access to see my art as if they were in a real Gallery space.
I then got to work to find a platform, I chose Artsteps as it allowed me to not only create the building, but also also add sound as well as importantly images of my artworks, text, video and posters. I really enjoyed this level of customisation. For the first time I felt I had the liberty to create my own public Art Gallery the way I wanted it.
How has the Virtual Gallery Helped Me?
Out of this Curiosity Virtual Gallery was born! My mission was to create a new experience for the viewer to experience my art in a new immersive way. It is also an opportunity to host events like exhibitions and talks and an ever changing space of new art. I also see it as extension of my website were people interested in my art can enquire about artworks from this space. It has also given my art new visibility allowing me to connect with my existing audience and new ones.
Currently I am in the process of putting together new exhibition, the virtual gallery is currently closed. However you can watch this video "Exploring the Potential of a Virtual Gallery" bellow. Hopefully it can give you a better understanding of my virtual gallery and what you can do with it.

✅ Insert 2d artwork images into the space eg, painting, sculpture, NFT. Also I can add artwork description and QR code to create a link back to your
artwork on your website.
✅ Insert Video and Youtube links (can be useful to showcase more information about the exhibition)
✅ Create Posters and content for the exhibition.
✅ Place Text in the gallery.
✅ Publish the Gallery and provide you relevant links for access as well as log in details to enter which you can change after.
