How I Pack my Art for Shipping
"Its What's inside that Matters"
|
Packing my Sculpture for Shipping! All of my sculptures are packed to ensure they arrive to its destination safely. Depending on the type of sculpture I do this by generally adding loose fill like foam and bubble wrap inside. Some of my sculptures is then placed in a box within a box to ensure that it does not move or get knocked around during transit. Each sculpture comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity to prove that it is an original artwork. |
Packing my Painting for Shipping!

Like my sculpture I also want to make sure my paintings arive to its destination safely. I do this by firstly wrapping it in acid free protective paper, followed by card to provide protection from any moments and knocks. Plastic sheeting is then applied to keep out any damp which is then placed into a sturdy box. Each painting comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity to prove that it is an original artwork. |
Sending anything in the post requires care and attention and I have leant that from experience. This is especially true for original artworks.
I spend a lot of hours making the best art I can make and so I want to ensure that each artwork I pack and send arrives to its new home in the best condition it deserves.
I believe "it is what is inside that matters".
We live in a world were sometimes I feel that there is so much emphasis on packaging to create high expectation that what is inside can sometimes not be as good as the packaging makes out.
When you receive an artwork package I would like what's inside to surprise you.
When I can I also try to use recycled packaging materials.
I hope these images and video can give you an example of the process I take to pack and send my original artworks. These two artworks went to collectors in Switzerland and the UK.
