Poured bone china porcelain slips onto plaster bat, dipped with glaze.

Created: 20/8/2020
Dimensions: Variable
Inspiration
This ceramic painting series was made to respond to the theme “Sustainability”.
This was done by combining recycled wood into the work.
My intention was to reveal the making process and quality of the bone china porcelain. With this series of works I wanted to bridge the gap between ceramic
and painting. I was thinking about negative and positive space and trying to reveal this. I did this by revealing spontaneous lines and shapes combined with the white background of the clay.
