Inspiration
The inspiration for this collage painting came from a response from the 2020 global health crisis. I decided to use magazine cut-outs of images representing peace, tranquility in beautiful scenic landscapes.

During this time I have been keeping myself at home, isolated, the images was a way to escape the reality, representing a peaceful state of mind. However I decided to overlay this with household paints and acrylic pouring. This was a way for me to distort the images underneath, almost erasing that memory or state of mind. This industrial cocktail takes on a presence and invites the eye to pear into a space or memory that once was.
