Inspiration
This painting is part of a series of paintings using the technique of acrylic pouring.

I was inspired by newspaper as it captures the memory of a time in history and tells one angle to what is happening in society. If you look closely you should be able to just about see some of the newspaper imagery.

I was also inspired by the industrial world we are living in. I was researching images like chemical spills and industry to use as a reference to infom the colours and part of the idea behind this artwork.

I combined these two subjects together as a commentary on the chaos of society.

I then overlaid this with a circle to symbolise belief and entering a space, to embody a spiritual presence. Perhaps it is our belief and values that keep these things alive.

This painting had household paints added to the painting. I enjoy using materials that are not common to use in fine art painting. It creates some unexpected results.

After completing this painting it really go me thinking about space, time and crossing over into another space. This is a common theme in my art. I want to create an experience, for you to feel its presence, to let your mind wonder into the unknown.

What value will I get from owning an original artwork?

  • Transform any space by adding and enhancing its character, beauty and uniqueness. I am on a mission to create images that will stand the test of time.
  • Make a statement to trigger new conversations.
  • Made in the UK.
  • Different from mainstream and highstreet shops.
