Paint Your Own Handmade Wheel Thrown Pottery Mug Workshop
🗓️When was the workshop
Saturday 21st September 2024. 2-4pm.
🗺️ Where was the workshop
The Note Warehouse. 71 High St, Yatton, Bristol BS49 4DW. UK
In this workshop artists Martin and Wen-Hsi Harman presented this workshop.
Participants had the opportunity to paint their very own Handmade Mug. What makes made this workshop special is that they got to create their own unique painting on a mug completely handmade, thrown on the potters wheel by the artist Martin that’s is theirs to keep and treasure!
We spent an afternoon relaxing and enjoying the moment by picking up a paint brush to create something by hand that is unique. We also had inspiration imagery for guidance. Not to mention access to the amazing cafe. After we finished painting the mug they will have a glaze applied and fired in the kiln ready to be collected. Mugs are food safe and ready to use for your foveate drink! Or give it to someone as a gift.
Thank you for coming to this workshop.
We will be updating the finished results soon!
The ArtView Blog
On another note I created a Blog Post on The ArtView called "How to Paint a Ceramic Mug" to give you some tips and ideas about the process. Hopefully this can also be helpful for you if you came to the workshop or thinking about participating in future workshops.
