Moon Bubble

Ceramic Sculpture created at Ceramics Symposium Navigation, Ventspils Latvia 🇱🇻. 6-16 October 2025. (Invited guest)

Made from black stoneware clay. Spheres individually wheel thrown on the potters wheel that was made by hand and constructed sphere by sphere. With coloured slip and and a combination of glazes hand painted onto the surface.

I called it Moon Bubble as someone mentioned it looked a bit like a moon with its craters. The formation is like bubbles. It is a curios thing, looking like it is a living thing expanding through time and space. It also looks other worldly as though it traveled here from interstellar space.

Exhibited at the Ventspils Museum, Ventspils, Latvia.
